Recap: Thanksgiving
A few things that ground me before taking time away.
I am grateful for the people closest to me. My wife, my children, my mother, and my brother. They have carried more than they know.
I am grateful for the community and home we live in. A place that still feels rooted. A place that gives room to breathe.
I am grateful for work that matters. For bosses I respect. For teams that show up every day with purpose.
I am grateful to be both loved and forgiven. It is hard to earn either. It is harder to live up to both.
I am grateful for my work family. They challenge me, support me, and make the long days worth it.
And I am grateful for my students. They give me something new to think about every week. They remind me why learning is still one of the purest things we do.
Gratitude changes how we see the world by shifting our focus from scarcity to abundance. It functions as a brake on modern life; it slows the pace. By pulling our attention back from false urgency, gratitude creates the mental space needed for introspection. It lets us notice what is steady and true. This practice of appreciation repositions the individual, moving the internal narrative away from complaint and toward acknowledgment, which is a powerful foundation for sustained well-being.
I hope this week gives you a little rest and a little clarity. Enjoy the time with the people who matter most.
I am taking the next ten days off from publishing. See you soon.

I am grateful for you, Tim! Hope your Thanksgiving break is restful and rejuvenating.
